Though it is now a bit dated, this book provides comprehensive information about migraine disease and migraine treatment. The diet outlined by Dr. Bucholz is known in the community as the “HYH diet.”

Vestibular migraine presents in a way that differs from generic migraine disease. But the medical treatments for vestibular migraine work, for the most part, for generic migraine disease as well. This book brings the medications picture more up to date and also includes a variation of the HYH diet.

Morgan (@lifewithmigraine) explains the science behind migraine disease and neuroplasticity. The brain can learn its way into a self-reinforcing cycle of pain, but it can be retrained into a more normal pattern of living. She means for brain retraining to be part of the migraine treatment toolkit, alongside medications and other lifestyle changes. The exercises are realistic and helpful.

Pippa (@lifeofpippa) suffers from ME/CFS. Migraineurs for whom fatigue is a significant and disabling symptom will find this book to be an excellent resource. Through her own experience and research, Pippa documents a set of tools for making sense of and managing life with an energy limiting condition. She writes with a gentle and reasuring voice that speaks of knowledge and hope.
